During a routine call to Brecon in Mid Wales on Thursday, 4 October, RSPCA Inspector Danielle Baber was called to inspect an animal that seemed to defy description.
A member of the public described the animal that had strayed into her barn, in Boughrood near Brecon, as having the face of a raccoon with long teeth and a short tail.
Danielle identified the animal as a raccoon dog, a species of animal native to East Asia that neither she or her colleagues had ever seen before…
