Twenty pet rabbits have been rescued after being abandoned in Belmont.
Vicky Longworth, aged 39, of Edgworth, was driving home from work in Adlington when an abandoned sofa caught her eye on grass off Rivington Road at about 2.30pm on Tuesday.
On closer inspection, she noticed some rabbits hopping around near the sofa.
Mrs Longworth got out to have a look and realised 20 rabbits had been dumped there.
She managed to gather up some of them before the RSPCA came and took the rest away…
