Current government recommendations tell us that everyone should do 30 minutes of moderate cardiovascular exercise 3-5 times per week, to maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness and health. Can people be forced to do that? Perhaps not, but if  the level of dog ownership could be increased amongst our population, it seems that we might start to take that type of exercise by our own volition…
