Brutal Namibian Seal Hunt Caught On Film – Journalists Attacked

Secret footage smuggled out of Namibia has revealed the brutal reality of the Namibian seal hunt – and the subsequent attack on British journalist Jim Wickens and South African cameraman Bart Smithers.

The dramatic film shows seals being killed by hunters during a hunt at the Cape Cross Reserve in Namibia and hunters armed with clubs running towards film maker Bart Smithers and Jim Wickens, from the UK’s Ecostorm agency. The journalists, who were working on assignment with Dutch lobby group Bont voor Dieren were violently attacked by seal hunters before being detained by police…

100′s Of Rescued Animals May Have To Be Destroyed

Hundreds of animals may have to be put down within weeks unless there is an 11th hour rescue bid to save an animal sanctuary.

Earlier this year trustees at Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary, in Stadhampton, said they needed vital funding to keep it afloat.

But now there is less than one month’s money left in the pot – with more than 20 jobs also at risk.

The sanctuary is appealing to the public for urgent donations and offers to rehome the animals, which include 92 dogs, 100 cats, 22 rabbits, seven sheep, one horse, one pony and three goats…

Pitbull ‘Weapon Dogs’ Seized As Police Handlers Swoop On Gangs

Twenty pitbull-type “weapon dogs” were seized in police raids in south London today.

In one of the first operations of its kind officers swooped on the homes of known gang members and captured dogs which have been terrorising local communities.

All the animals seized in the raids in Kennington — including a litter of six puppies — are suspected of being banned pitbulls…
