I am currently using Herbal Essences. However, after being informed that Herbal Essences products ARE tested on animals and that the company lied, I am furious and will refuse to buy any more products by Herbal Essences. Can you find me a list hair products and shampoos that do not test on animals? If you can I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi Megan,
Thanks for your comment. If you visit the naturewatch site they have a ‘compassionate shopping guide’ which you can buy for £3, here’s the link: http://www.naturewatch.org/shoppingguide/CSG.asp
You could also visit the BUAV site, they publish a ‘little book of cruelty free’: http://www.buav.org/d_resources.php
All the best fellow animal lover!

As a girl who has tried many products for her curly and almost unmanageable hair, I’ve finally taken solice in the effectiveness of Herbal Essences curling mousse. It has been the only product I have found that actually helps reduce my frizz and supports my natural curls.
When my sister informed their products were tested on animals, I felt as though I had been punched in the stomach. How had I been so ignorant?
Do you know of any specific products that are cruelty-free and can still provide me with the same effectiveness?
Thanks!
Christine
Hi Christine,
Try visiting the BUAV’s online cruelty free guide: http://www.gocrueltyfree.org/companies.php
Can anyone suggest a tried and tested (not on animals!) cruelty free product for Christine’s curly hair?
I am so disgusted. I always bought Herbal Essence products but me and my family will not again unless they stop testing poor innocent animals. It is so unecessary.
I alwyas used Herbal Essence products but I just recently was informed that they do animal testing. I think it is so cruel and disgusting. These poor animlas need to go through all this for no reason, it is so unecessary. I will NO longer use any of their products.
Hi Christine
