Animal Rights Activist On Trial

Mel Broughton leading figure of the animal rights group Speak is alleged to have planned and possibly carried out two arson attacks on buildings belonging to Oxford University.

Broughton denies charges of conspiracy to commit arson, possession of an article or articles with intent to destroy or damage property and keeping an explosive substance with intent.
