Badgers Found Mutilated, Run Over And Blown Up!
No wonder there are hardly any badgers left…
North Yorkshire Police, the RSPCA and Natural England have joined forces to investigate the killing of a badger whose mutilated body was discovered in North Yorkshire; the animal had to be destroyed due to horrific injuries.
It is believed that the badger had been the victim of illegal badger lamping with dogs as an examination showed her to be in good health [before the attack]; she was found with dog bites to her muzzle and a severe blow to the face probably caused by a shovel.

In Scotland a man has been cleared of deliberately driving his car into a badger and killing it.

Canterbury farmer David Botting who blew up a badger set with ‘Rodenator’ burrow blaster was ordered to pay £2,262 fines and court costs. Botting said he intended to get rid of rabbits.
