Help For One Of The World’s Rarest Birds

A canal is being re-routed to help save one of the world’s rarest birds. The Supreme Court Of India halted construction of the waterway as it posed a threat to the Jerdon’s Courser, a  nocturnal bird the size of a lapwing. Although the court decision was made three years ago, the new route of the canal, which is being constructed to bring water to the city of Madras, has only just been agreed.
